Mourning the Passing of Amy Uyematsu: an Activist Educator Poet

On June 23, 2023, the Los Angeles poetry community lost a pioneer for Asian American / Japanese American, voices and civil rights, Amy Uyematsu. She was a beloved member of the Los Angeles Poet Society, an ally and friend.
